A Little Love

I am happy to report that I had another successful class yesterday. Well, we had 2 classes yesterday and they both went well. So now it's time to show a little love for Valentine's Day. I am not a huge fan of this day, but I do love chocolate. Here are the Valentine Day Theme cards for Feb. 11th from 11-1 at Great Scraps!

We survived the Holidays! Now we can relax with a mug of hot chocolate, a good book, and a warm blanket. But it's back to work and back to teaching for me. I designed 3 Winter theme cards using Copic markers, Echo Park papers and My Favorite Things stamps. I think this class is already sold out. See you at Great Scraps on January 28th!

Stylish Space

Good Morning!
I hope everyone is ready for the weekend. It is really starting to feel like Spring here in Maryland. I am so happy about that! Today we focus our attention on stylish spaces. Yes, fashion and interior really do compliment each other. If you haven't had a chance to check out the new stamps set by Clear and Simple Stamps called " Just My Style", please do so. They also designed fabulous die cuts for these stamps!

So when I think of a stylish space, I think of open space. I like clean, sleek interiors with a pop of color. I love modern design with a little softness. Keeping an open floor plan makes any space appear bigger and easy to manage. Same holds true when creating cards. Focus on letting the white space happen and add a pop of color. It's time to talk Spring Fashion! I know the weather is still a bit chilly but I am looking forward to Spring fashion. I just finished my InStyle magazine and I am really excited to see color!

Good Morning,
Even though it is still a bit cold, I thought we would highlight Spring a little. Do you know any moms-to-be? If so, here is a great idea for a drink menu for a baby shower. I used Clear and Simple Stamps latest stamp set called Spring Extras. This set is jammed packed with cute images for spring. My focus for this menu was spring fruit. What a great alternative to just having fruit at a baby shower...make some Springria...alcohol free of course. Just switch out the wine for Sprite or seltzer water!

I hope you are ready for an exciting weekend of football, if not, it is a great weekend to sneak away and craft! Something else that is exciting, each month going forward I will focus on a color of the month and show you ways to incorporate that color. Next month get ready for my palette of colors that will be easy to use on your next projects.
Well this month the color is "Party Teal Dawn". You probably thought I would pick red or pick for Valentine's Day..ha! This color is so rich and gorgeous it looks great alone or pop it with a bright color like a lime green. I really love the bright hue and the cardstock quality is phenomenal! Shroom Makeover

Good Morning!
A weekend off for me! I am so excited that I almost forgot to post! I have an upcoming class tomorrow at Great Scraps teaching Copics and I have tons of prep work to do today.
Okay, here is another look at the cute little mushroom! And guess what? They have die cuts to match! I love die cuts and these are unique because I have never seen mushroom die cuts. What is funny, I am seeing mushrooms in fabrics, interior, and furniture. I am telling you, this trend is catching on. Clear and Simple Stamps are ahead of its time. Here is the sample for this week. This week is all about making a statement. I am still showcasing the super trendy stamp set by Clear and Simple Stamps called Fun Fungi. I really love how you can dress up this set or play it down. Today, I dressed it up and added some cool ribbon and sassy gems. Just because the image is simple and clean doesn't mean that you can have fun added in some fun embellishments. Happy New Year to you! I hope your holidays were fun. I know I had a great time spending it with my family back in Ohio. And the weather was extremely mild. We got to 50 degrees on New Years Day!

I am not sure how the weather is where you are, but on the east coast it is still beautiful! The cold weather has yet to show it's ugly head and we are loving it.

This is a great set that is relaxing to work with. Some days I would love to go set in the park and kick some leaves around. I am really trying to have stress-free holiday season and I think this set sums it up!

Well, it's November and of course I have a new set of Clear and Simple Stamps to show you this month. I know this is a crazy busy month for most people. But, if you can, take a day to relax and call a friend that you haven't talked to in a while and reminisce about the good times! I just happened to do this on Tuesday, and I had a blast!

Anyway the new set is called "Happy Fall" and it is full of leaves, squirrels, nuts and a tree and a cute park bench. It's all about finding time to enjoy the fall and take a minute for yourself.

The Texture of Fall

I hope you are enjoying your start to the weekend. I have the entire weekend off and the weather is still in the 80's here. It may not feel like fall, but we are gearing up anyway.

Last week was "Fashion Week" and I was privileged to see some bits and pieces of some very hot runway shows. As a fashion designer, fall is the season that explodes with texture. I love it. So translate that into your fall cards.

Hello,
Sorry I have not been around lately, but I have recently started a new full-time job and I will be teaching for Great Scraps in Millersville, MD. I just got back from Aruba and it was fabulous. The start to our trip was a little rough but we had a blast once we touched down on the island.
I had decided to step down from InStyle Stamps and would like to thank Virginia and the team for having me. With a full-time job and teaching, my time has become scarce and I needed to scale back a bit from a few commitments.

Brown is the New Black

It's September! Time to get back into our daily routines and wave goodbye to summer. But if you are on the east coast like me, it is still hot and shows no signs of cooling down.
However, we are moving nicely along with a touch of Fall from Clear and Simple Stamps. The new stamp set is called "Topiaries" and it is dedicated to the nature lovers out there. This is a very versatile set because it can be used for holiday cards as well.
A new color called "Espresso Your Style" which is a warm, rich brown with a touch of red in it has made it's way into the accessory collection. I truly love it!

It is a rainy Wednesday here in Maryland. I love that the weather is a little cooler. We were in a heat wave for the past few weeks. So rain and cool temps are welcomed. And since the inspiration for this week over at Instyle Stamps is "Halloween", the weather played a perfect role to get me in the mood. I love scary things...I know, that sounds weird, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I am using Mr. Scarey Crow on Memory Box designer paper! It reminds me of Jeepers Creepers! I love that movie and I just heard that part 3 is in the makings for next Summer! Have a great day!

I hope you are staying cool! We have had super hot weather this week. I do enjoy summer, but I like it better when the weather is 80 degrees not 90 to 100! Today I will leave you with another design from the Clear and Simple Stamps set called Golf Gent. I did a little paper piecing on this one. Just to let you know, I will be doing a make-n-take at Photo Scraps next Wednesday, June 23 from 11am-1pm where we will focus on skin tones using Copic markers. If you are in the area please stop in.

She said that she missed time with family and friends and was so bogged down with the blogging world. I can relate to that. But you have to give yourself a break. Blogworld will be here when you have time. So today, and this weekend, think about what is going to make you happy. Have fun with challenges, but know that no one is going to come looking for you if you take a few days off. There are no Blog Police. Make time for friends, family and other fun activities.

Hello All,
Wanted you to know that I am the Designer of the Month for March over at Clear and Simple Stamps. Go check out my collection of Easter ideas. The stamps sets were so much fun to use I just had a ball creating with them. I was asked to design some fun little games to go into an Easter basket. So I thought of some of my favorite little games and went from there. I loved "Old Maid" so I changed it to "Old Eggs"! I love doing word searches, and "Tic Tac Toe". Sometime, the simple games are the best or I am showing my age! LOL

Hello All,
Thought I would share what I purchased today from my local scrapbook store. Since we are threatened with another winter snow storm, I thought I might as well get some fun paper to do some of my projects with. Then I thought about groceries and all the other boring stuff!
Anyway, if you have not picked up Quite Contrary by My Mind's Eye, you are missing out! The line is fabulous. I also picked out some papers from their Lush collection! Yummy! Now We R Memory Keepers has some fantastic Easter paper that I picked up as well.

Hello All,
I hope everyone enjoyed the nice, mild weekend we had. It is so nice to see the sun! Well, this week I embark on lots of fun projects, classes, and some behind the scene business! A very busy week. I just have all my materials and I am ready to roll. I hope all of you are going to have a productive week as well. I did hear back from 2 of my blog winners and they were very excited with their goodies! That made my day! The other winner is not in the states, so hopefully she will get her package later this week. Not a lot to show yet, but here is and oldie:
